Makes 9
Ingredients
- 115g butter (plus extra for greasing)
- 115g plain chocolate broken into pieces
- 300g golden caster sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 140g plain flour
- 2tbsp cocoa powder
- 100g white chocolate chips
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180C and grease an 18cm square cake tin and line with baking paper.
2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a small heatproof bowl. Stir until smooth and leave to cool slightly.
3. Stir in the sugar, salt and vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time and stir until blended.
4. Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the mixture and beat until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips and then pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
5. Bake in your preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the top is evenly coloured and a skewer comes out almost clean.
6. Leave to cool and enjoy!!
